1st Month in Hotel and Home

We spend most of last week shopping.. not actually buying anything... just looking and making notes! You would think it would be fun to furnish you house from scratch - its not!!! Anyway... Friday we went and blew almost all of our money on Electronics - all except the TV! This will be bought from Amazon.de. Then saturday we went to a shop called IKEA and bought almost all our furniture... from beds to tables... everything will be delivered on Friday. Then we move into our house on tuesday the 27th... I cant wait!!!
Room in The Marriott Hotel

The hotel room has been really nice and I havent had to worry about cleaning and food and that kind of thing... but I really want to settle now so that I can stop feeling like I am on holiday! Breakfast is the best, eggs and bacon and juice with waffles and pancakes...this we will miss. ALso the Executive Lounge has been great so we could access drinks and snacks 24/7 as well as Internet when noone else is on the PC. Alex thinks she is the King, German Gummi Bear sweets on tap 24/7!!!

Yesterday we went to another church... Well after the last week sunday we didnt really have any expectations for the church - international baptist church - we walked in and heard the worship team warming up... and they were singing Hillsong.. for those that dont know.... Our church in EL sings Hillsong during worship - they are our favourite band! We felt totally at home. The service layout was very similar to Stirling Baptist.... albeit a little quieter... For the first time yesterday we got home sick... guess because it reminded us so much of home! Alex also went to Sunday school - also really nice and organised. She was happy there too.

Then in the afternoon we went to visit another SA couple living here - was really nice to eat veggies!!!!! Anyway they have a little girl who Alex played with - she was very excited to have a friend! When she woke up this morning... the first thing she asked for was her new friends....

OK... so I need to go now... I start with my german lessons now - just met the teacher. chat later...
